As photography turned from high-level hobby to profession, I continued to work on a handful of personal projects alongside paid work. I call these projects “love of the game clause” work, after Michael Jordan’s famous contract clause that gave him the right to play any basketball game at any time for the simple enjoyment of playing.

The projects gathered on this page all were done while doing other work, but explored topics of personal interest - the slow living and slow food movement in South Korea, the cameras, clothes, and working environment of fellow street style photographers, bouquets made from blooms foraged from the foundations of abandoned or demolished homes in Detroit - among others.
